Metro Atlanta Realty Reality: The high and low of it!

It seems like for over a year all we hear from the media sources across the nation is how BAD the housing market is.... Well in some cases they are right. The problem I have is they seem to just paint with a wide brush and do not really brake it down to areas. Metro Atlanta which includes many counties has a different picture. The end of 2006 we did start to see as low down and in the fall of 2007 it really did go over the top of the hill down the other side.

The higher the price of the property, the lower the % pending contracts since buyers, including 1st time homeowners(buyers) and those that need to downsize just became LOST as the prices kept moving up.The place that were are in now is unique since many factors are at play. This not one thing you can fix because of adding factors included pervious over extension of credit, job layoffs and other economic impacts (ie) gas prices, food cost etc.

There are 22 metro -Atlanta counties that have shown a positive sales in new homes....I have seen more people are coming out of the dark and are looking at property again. The market is recovering in a slow but steady rate. I think this is because people are more educated on values more than ever.
